Version: 0.19+ #3131 (using KDE 3.5.4, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.4-0ubuntu6 ) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-25-k7 How to reproduce: 1. Settings => Configure Konversation... => Watched Nicknames 2. Click New... twice. 3. Notice how this allows you to add "new" nicknames to track. (You could also give them a similar nickname, but "new" will do fine.) 4. Click Apply. 5. Click Ok. 6. Press f4 for the list of Watched Nicknames Online. 7. Notice that New is listed only once. Expected Behavior: Konversation doesn't allow users to add identical nicknames to the list of watched nicknames since they won't show up in the list of watched nicknames online (f4) anyway.
This isn't really a problem for anyone, and there's no good way to prevent it anyway. Silently or non-silently failing on the "New" button is out of the question (you want someone to be able to click X times and fill in later), and displaying an error popup on save is needlessly alarming since as you say, the Watched Nicknames tab isn't tripping over it. WONTFIX.
