Description DaBlade 2006-08-19 15:42:49 UTC
Version: 2.6.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: GCC 4.0.4 Well, I didn't compile it, I installed from Debian packages, but since it asked for compiler version...
OS: Linux

Well, it's very simple. I start ark (either by clicking on it or via command line, and up comes the KDE crash handler.

Information on my system: Debian Testing (Etch).
Kernel: 2.6.16-1-k7
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2600+ Barton 1.92GHz

Here's the backtrace:

We can't do anything with that backtrace. Please install a debuggable version.
Comment 2 Philip Rodrigues 2006-08-19 19:06:35 UTC
Does the same crash occur with a newly-created user?
Comment 3 DaBlade 2006-08-19 23:03:37 UTC
Actually, I've found something rather odd: When I start the app with the run command dialogue, it crashes, but not when I run it from Yakuake.
As for the newly created user: I don't know, nor do I have the time to try it, sorry.
Comment 4 Oliver Grimm 2006-08-22 09:59:27 UTC
hm, doesn't crash here on Debian/etch/i686. Do you have all the latest etch packages?
Comment 5 DaBlade 2006-08-23 03:22:32 UTC
Yes I do. :/
Comment 6 Haris Kouzinopoulos 2006-09-02 13:00:04 UTC
It seems to me like a configuration problem from your part and not a bug in ark. Is anyone else experiencing crashes on startup?
Comment 7 Martin Koller 2007-04-15 21:35:32 UTC
Seems nobody else has this problem; let's close it for now.
