Description Dik Takken 2006-08-19 11:49:10 UTC
Version: 0.9.0-Beta1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

DigiKam, as well as the image editor, do not restore the window size of the previous DigiKam run. DigiKam and the image editor always start with a small main window. At least, the main window is always maximized in the vertical direction, but the width of the window is always about two third of the full screen width.

Strangely, this happens only when the Kicker (placed at the bottom edge of the screen) is configured to be always visible. When the Autohide feature of the Kicker is enabled, DigiKam behaves as expected.

Yes, I read about it. Nice work!

Dik, your problem is not reproductible here under 10 computers.

Somebody can reproduce this problem ?

I think it is my xinerama setup that triggers the bug. Or should I say TwinView? It's the NVidia implementation anyways (CRT+TV clone config). DigiKam is still the only application that has trouble managing its windows, so I don't think it is a problem with the Xinerama setup itself.

Dik,

I use Xinerama at home (2 screens) and at work (3 screens) without problem...

I replaced my setup with a two-screen (clone) TwinView, without any Xinerama support compiled into KDE.

This works fine as well.

I will close the bug for now and reopen when the problem gets back on me.
