Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages when trying to print out multiple copies of a multipage document with the "collate" box checked, each page is printed for the number of copies requested in serial order, instead of the entire document pages being printed as a group.
I have the exact same problem, and cost me quite some paper before I found out :(. In my opinion this is a serious bug and needs to be addressed ASAP.
Added comment: To me it happened while printing in KPDF, so it's not just KWord.
Please provide type of printer, type of printing backsystem (CUSP?), ppd file (if available), ~/.lpoptions file and steps to reproduce the bug. Thanks

Closing bug report with WORKSFORME. I've tested with KWord, Kate and Konqueror printing, using SUSE-10.0 RPMs of KDE-3.5.5. Please, Jorn+autoquote, feel free to re-open this report if it still bugs you when using KDE 3.5.5. If it only happens with specific files (say, PDF) or specific applications (say, kpdf), then please tell so, and also attach the specific files so we can hunt it down...
Please see my comments under Bug 121769.
