Version: 1.3.92 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Running 1.3.92, it seems that though the user can adjust the brightness, contrast, etc. of an image, these changes can't be saved in the way that other manipulations (rotation, etc.) are. This seems to have confused some users, who expected all their changes to be saved. Thus I'm filing a wishlist bug, and perhaps at some point this feature can be added. Thanks, Christopher Martin
Agreed, it is really counter-intuitive that brightness/contrast changes are not saved as rotation and the other things that are even in the same submenu as rotation is!
Which menus are you referring to exactly? As far as I know gwenview roatation is not saved (edit menu) into the same menu there aren't any other options. So I wonder if you're talking about kipi-plugins (plugins menu) Angelo
I believe they are....
Angelo, I'm not sure. This entry sound like unrelevant of kipi-plugins... We need more informations, else this entry will be closed... Gilles Caulier
Christopher, What's news about this file ? We need more informations... Gilles Caulier
The menu I'm referring to is for Gwenview 1.4.2 (KDE 3.5.10) under View -> Colours, and I've confirmed that when Gwenview saves changes to the image (such as rotation, etc.) then brightness, gamma, etc. changes made through this menu are not saved. If Gwenview can save changes to rotation, it would be nice if it could also save changes to brightness, contrast, etc. that it allows users to make as well. Perhaps the Gwenview shipping with KDE 4.1 has fixed this - I don't have a KDE 4 system set up at the moment.
This bug is about Gwenview 1.4, which is not maintained anymore. Gwenview 2.x does not have brightness/contrast/gamma settings *yet*, so it does not have this bug.
