Description Frank Benoit 2006-08-12 21:12:33 UTC
Version: 1.6.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18.1 dapper)
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-26-386

In konsole (1) I started konsole (2) with

konsole -e ssh -X frank@dater

The window opens and ssh asks me for the passw. After entering, I use the mouse to open the Session (in German 'Sitzung') Menu. Then in konsole (1) the message:

ASSERT: "id < (int)d->m_list.count()" in /build/buildd/kdelibs-3.5.2/./kdeui/kactionclasses.cpp (440)

appears.

Hello,

Can you try upgrading to KDE 3.5.3 or 3.5.4?

Kubuntu packages are available here - http://kubuntu.org/announcements/kde-354.php
Comment 2 Frank Benoit 2006-08-14 19:42:52 UTC
Ok, i upgraded to kde 3.5.4. The output of konsole (1) looks now like this:

frank@lingurke:~$ konsole -e ssh -X frank@dater
kio (KSycoca): Trying to open ksycoca from /var/tmp/kdecache-frank/ksycoca
ScimInputContextPlugin()
~ScimInputContextPlugin()

So I think the original problem is gone, but two new kind of outputs are there :)
These lines came immediatly, without any action in the new konsole.

I also have the
ScimInputContextPlugin()
~ScimInputContextPlugin()
with many apps. E.g. kdiff3
Comment 3 Robert Knight 2006-08-14 20:34:27 UTC
I see that as well for all KDE apps. I suspect that is a Kubuntu issue, although it may not be a bug - just a harmless status indicator.

I will close this report for now, please reopen if the problem reoccurs.
