Description Shriramana Sharma 2006-08-11 17:33:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Even when KGet is in Offline Mode, when I add a download from Konqueror, the download is immediately started.

If I add many downloads from Konqueror, even if the number is greater than the maximum connected limit specified in settings, KGet starts downloading all of those simultaneously.

Both of this should not happen. Please fix this show-stopper bug. It gives KGet a really bad image. Thank you for KDE.

It must also be noted that such "renegade" downloads do not respond to the queue, delay, or pause buttons to stop. The icons may change to denote the different statuses but the download continues nevertheless.

I can confirm the above mentioned bug with my SuSE Version 10.0 KGet V.0.8.4 with KDE 3.4.2 level b

This is a real show-stopper bug! This makes me look for a different download manager than KGet. That's bad.

I'm distressed that this bug has not even been confirmed, let alone assigned. If I had enough KDE/Qt/C++ knowledge, I would try to fix it myself. As it is, I'm forced to bug the developers like this. Sorry, but I am doing this only because I feel the bug is serious. [And yes, I know the developers have to eat and sleep too. :) No offence.]

Thanks.
