Cause: Using the assigned keyboard shortcut 'ctrl + alt + F3' Steps: step: Invoke KDE Control Center from System menu step: choose '&Keyboard Shortcuts' step: choose '&Global Keys' step: select 'Window operations menu' from the 'Action' listbox step: select the 'Custom key' radio button step: assign the following value to the command action: 'ctrl + alt + F3' step: click the 'Apply' button step: click the 'Ok' button step: open an application and use the 'ctrl + alt + F3' shortcut I am using RedHat 6.2 kernel version linux-2.2.14 and libc6

It doesn't come from KDE. This is a _standard_ setup on linux systems : Ctrl+Alt+F1 to F6 maps to "switch to text mode". Use Ctrl+Alt+F7 (or F8 depending on the distribution) to switch back to graphical mode. No bug here sorry. Not=20 that that alters the fact that it's not available to Kcontrol.
