Version: 1.2.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.4.5 (Gentoo 3.4.5-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9) OS: Linux While I can understand the potential performance reasons for not displaying flash applets in the aKregator preview pane, perhaps a "click to view" button like FlashBlock for Firefox offers would be better or, failing that, an image showing where a flash applet would normally appear?
Do you mean the pane on the main tab, or additional browser tabs? At least the latter works here...
The former. The latter works fine except for a little problem with Flash-based streaming (eg. YouTube, Google Video, etc.) which is shared by Konqueror.
I think "Show Plugin" as used in konqueror (and the internal browser tabs) when using "Plugins->Load Plugins on demand only" would be optimal. To enable plugins for the article viewer following the konq settings is an one-liner (you can test it even via dcop: "dcop akregator html-widget1 setPluginsEnabled true"). But unfortunately the "Load on demand only" setting can only set globally and I can't override it for the preview pane. So if the user wants to have plugins loaded immediately in konq, but "Show plugin" buttons in akregator, this is not possible.
