Description Tarlika Elisabeth Schmitz 2006-08-01 16:13:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Thanks for a great wee tool!

I would just like to make the following suggestion:

It would be much easier to align the ruler with the object that you are measuring if kruler did not have any window decorations. (I used to have a ruler app on Windoze without decorations and it was easier to align the 0 point.)

When you hover with the arrow over the, say, 100px mark it displays a distance of 105px, presumably taking the window border into consideration. When hovering over the 0px mark, it displays 5px.

It's a bit annoying that you need to add x pixels to the markings on the ruler and that 0 isn't actually the 0 point.

OK, this is a bit weird, but... it doesn't have window decorations here. Are you running it under KDE or some other desktop? Could you perhaps attach a screenshot showing what happens for you?

What Gnome version is that? (And if you know, what window manager?)
