Description Gleb Litvjak 2006-07-31 22:49:27 UTC
Version: 1.4.2-beta1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

I've bought and installed a TV tuner recently, which came with a remote. I tried to make amarok fully controllable by this remote, and failed. Basic functions (play/pause/stop/skip song/rewind/clear playlist) are easy to bind to the remote buttons (DCOP rules). However, something more sophisticated is much harder.

For example, I found out that there's no way to switch keyboard focus from the collection browser to the playlist without using a mouse. TAB key can switch from the playlist to the collection browser, but not the other way. It's like a trap really :)

One other problem - no DCOP call or shortcut to cativate context/collecton/file browsers (at least, I could not find them).

Having these things fixed would be very handy for all the remote control owners
