Version: 0.3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs Graphics-file formats like PNG, JPG, TIFF, etc. are able to hold the DPI-information from a picture. Therefore it should be possible in an easy way to do a 1:1 printout. To test this I've made a sample PNG-file which should be printed in size 15cm x 20cm. I added black border lines to be able to check the printout-size with a simple ruler. DPI--Resolution stored in graphics-file: 300dpi Width: 1.772 Pixel => 15,0cm (5,91") Lenth: 2.362 Pixel => 20,0cm (7,87") With ShowFoto / ImageEditor it is impossible to use this DPI-information stored in the graphics-file for print-outs: Print-option "Automatic scale": Picture will be re-sized to fit in page. Print-option "Print exact size": Size of picture has to be MANUALLY typed in. There is no possibility to have automatic 1:1 printouts (or scaled printouts, i.e. 50%/200%, etc.) in ShowFoto / ImageEditor!

Max, this file still valid using digiKam 2.x serie ? Gilles Caulier
Sorry, can't test atm, as digikam crashes at program-start Starting from Konsole looks like this: $ digikam Ungültiger Maschinenbefehl (Speicherabzug geschrieben) I'm using Fedora 16 (i386) with digikam 2.3.0 & KDE SC 4.7.3 now.
Digikam/showfoto is working again for me. So this bug is still valid with digikam/showfoto 2.4.1 I don't have a visible printout on a DIN A4-page with the PNG-file of comment #1 unless I choose the print-option to fit a picture in page.
Can you reproduce the problem using digiKam Linux AppImage bundle ? The last bundle is available at this url: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzeiVr-byqt5Y0tIRWVWelRJenM Gilles Caulier
digiKam 7.0.0 stable release is now published: https://www.digikam.org/news/2020-07-19-7.0.0_release_announcement/ We need a fresh feedback on this file using this version. Best Regards Gilles Caulier
