Description David 2006-07-24 13:59:24 UTC
Version: 0.19 #3100 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

There is no documentation about the 'Command Aliases' configuration in 'Konversation Settings' in the Konversation Handbook.

I don't think it needs much, but I didn't find mention of this:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88533
Until I went to post a bug asking for the same thing!

Maybe you want to contribute to the documentation effort (which is non-existing at the moment), considering all those seperate reports on lack of documentation you're filing at the moment?
Comment 2 David 2006-07-25 21:58:30 UTC
Mmm, good idea.
I guess the docs are stored in an xml file in svn or something?
Where is it and what do I need to generate the Handbook from it?
Comment 3 Eike Hein 2006-07-25 22:08:03 UTC
The documentation is available in Docbook format in SVN: http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/extragear/network/doc/konversation/

The KDE DocBook Authors guide should be useful: http://i18n.kde.org/docs/markup/index.html

As well as the central page for KDE translators, documentation writers, and related: http://l10n.kde.org/

As you rightly note our documentation is presently incomplete and/or outdated; in general, it leaves much to be desired. Anybody willing to lend a hand would be very much appreciated.

Any news, David?
