Version:           12.0.0 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from:    Slackware Packages
Compiler:          GCC 3.4.6 
OS:                Linux

While there's a setGlobalNickname, there's no means of retrieving either the current Global Nickname or account-specific display name. Something like QString getGlobalNickname(void) and QString getDisplayName(QString accountId) would be much appreciated.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
