Description Christian Boltz 2006-07-10 22:05:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

The quick search dropdown in KMail offers searching for several message states, but it misses some also.

The quick search dropdown currently misses searching for
- messages without special status ("not tagged important, todo, new, ...")
- spam
- ham

Can you please add these options to the quick search dropdown?

About first option -- list of checkboxes would solve nicely such (and similar) problems.

There is now "ham" and "spam", but no "unmarked".

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

The quick search in KMail2 still doesn't offer an option to only display messages that are marked as read (which is very similar to "unmarked", but unmarked also covers things like "not tagged important").

I see two possible ways to implement it:

a) easy: add "read" (= not new) to the dropdown

b) more complex, but also more powerful: add a "[x] NOT" checkbox to each option in the dropdown - this allows to search for mails that are "NOT new", "NOT answered" etc.
