Description deepak 2006-07-09 10:59:07 UTC
Version: 0.8.2-rc1 (using KDE 3.5.3, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.3-0ubuntu0.1 dapper)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-25-686

Hi,

I just launched digikam for the first time & imported a new folder of pictures (using Album > Import > Import Folders) After the import operation was completed, the digikam main window went back to its original new & blank state with no indication of where the imported pictures are!

It is only after a bit of fiddling around did I discover that the 'My Albums' in the Album side bar can be double-clicked upon to reveal the imported folders. There is no visual indication that My Albums is a tree-view style widget! This is not at all obvious to a new user!!

A suggestion I would offer would be to immediately open the newly imported folder of pictures. This would also make the tree view of the My Albums side bar clear.

Thanks!

I think the issue is no longer relevant with Digikam 0.9.x
I'm marking it as resolved.
