Version:           2.5.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages
Compiler:          gcc 4.0.3-1 
OS:                Linux

Below is the error msg I recieve when using Kate and other KDE apps as sudo in Kubuntu 6.0.6 (Dapper Drake).  The apps open and function normally but they all present this error msg.:

This is a Kubuntu issue, please report to launchpad.net.

If the application starts then the errors are harmless enough, although the Xlib ones are a bit of a mystery.
