Description Bertjan Broeksema 2006-07-01 17:12:21 UTC
Version: 0.11.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc (GCC) 3.4.6
OS: Irix

I get randomly this message when running kopete in the background. It seems that it has something to do whith people going online/offline or changing status. But i'm not sure about that.

I get this same error whenever someone goes online/offline on MSN. It is quite annoying since I can't disable the popup message (it steals focus from my applications constantly).

I'm running ArchLinux current (Kopete 0.12.3, KDE 3.5.5).

Any patch to at least disable the error message would be appreciated.

is this the same bug, as "no message could be sent to xy@msn.com" (while i never was doing it)? also happens for me now and then in msn

maybe error messages really should be put in another handling, because program blocking focus stealing error messages in kopete really do s***.

also in jabber or calendar i have sometimes errors just popping out of nowhere, like timeouts for something, and this is quite annoying. well but thats not bug related.

It is now using notifications (and passive popup) to show error in MSN plugin. Commited in r612769

Does that mean that the underlying problem is solved too or are does this only "fight" the symptons.

After reading comment #3 i see that i've the problem only when my brother (which is the only one with an @msn.com address in my list) commes online or switches status.
