Description Petr Sýkora 2006-07-01 12:41:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.5 (Gentoo 3.4.5-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9) CFLAGS="-O2 -march=i686 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
OS: Linux

Whenever I select "Always enabled" from Desktop->Window Behavior->Advanced->Active Desktop Borders and Apply it, everything seems to be OK. But when I restart KDE }or even only Control Center), the option "Only when moving windows" is selected.

From grepping any of "Active", "Border", "active", "Always", "moving", "border" in .kde3.5 I was unable to find the place where this option is saved.

Expected behaviour:
It would be very nice if Control Center preserves selected configuration :)

Confirmed on r554821. Set to "always", click apply. The setting is applied (ie, active borders work). Reopen KControl, and "only when moving windows" is now selected.
