Description Andrew Walker 2006-06-21 21:44:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

PROBLEM:
When creating a new label the user can position it close to the edge of its parent and the result is not intuitive

STEPS TO REPRDOUCE:
Start Kst
Create a rectangle in the default window
Create a label by selecting the label tool and clicking and dragging
Define the region with the click and drag so it is completely within the rectangle but close to its right edge
In the Label dialog set the size of the font to +50
Enter some text for the label
Hit OK in the Label dialog

RESULTS:
The label is contained within the rectangle but only the central portion of the text is visible

EXPECTED RESULT:
The label is not contained within the rectangle as it exapnds to contain the entire text string

While the circumstances described are not ideal it is consistent with how labels are displayed when they extend beyond the tab.
