Version: 3.5 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18 dapper) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-23-686 When using a contacts directory as a resource when deselected then reselected in the display box 2 entries for each contact appear. When this is done again, 3 entries for each contact appear. This must have to do with loading the directories contents to Kontacts memory, but the old memory not being cleared.
I can confirm this with Fedora 9 + KDE4.1.2 + kdepim3(kaddressbook 3.5.10), x86_64. Similar issue with file resource in bug #125101.
And note that this only happens on screen, in directroy I constantly have two vcards without changes.

I made another Directory resource to /var filesystem and did same tests again, now it works without duplicating visible entries. My first dir was on NFS $HOME where the problem appeared. # mount |grep home server:/srv/home on /home type nfs (rw,addr=172.16.1.1) server is centos5.
Nope, i was wrong. this started appear again, now with local disk. grrrr.
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
