Confirming with KGpg 1.2.2 and KDE 3.5.3 on Debian Sid. Steps to reproduce: 1. From the main window's menu select "File|Open Editor" 2. Type something, e.g. "Test" 3. Click on "Encrypt" 4. In the dialog, select one of your public keys and click "OK" 5. Click "Decrypt"

I also have KGpg 1.2.2 and KDE 3.5.3 and suffer the same problem. --+ (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/i686/libthread_db.so.1". Similar problem here with KDE 3.5.4-0ubuntu1~dapper2 / kgpg 1.2.2: 1. Start kgpg 2. Open file.asc 3. Click decrypt 4. I recently updated much of my distribution (PCLinuxOS) and reproduced this issue first on one computer and then on another. This seems to be associated with a specific version of either kgpg or one of its dependancies.
With regard to which versions of kgpg that have this bug: When I originally reported this in the Debian Bug Tracking System (bug #372767), I had the following Debian versions on kgpg and its dependencies: kgpg 4:3.5.3-1 gnupg 1.4.3-1 kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.3-1 libc6 2.3.6-15 libgcc1 1:4.1.1-2 libqt3-mt 3:3.3.6-2 libstdc++6 4.1.1-2 Now I still see the bug, but all the version numbers have increased: kgpg 4:3.5.4-1 gnupg 1.4.5-1 kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.4-3 libc6 2.3.6.ds1-2 libgcc1 1:4.1.1-11 libqt3-mt 3:3.3.6-3 libstdc++6 4.1.1-11 Best regards, Torquil M. Are there any updates on this bug? It renders KGpg useless for a number of tasks. Bug #132575 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132575 appears to be a duplicate. Bug #132021 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132021 seems to be related.
I've commented in those two threads.. perhaps we can combine our votes and get this problem noticed and fixed. =)
That's what I was thinking. It would be nice if we could pick one of the bug reports and have all of our votes in one spot. I'd like for this problem to get some attention (if it hasn't already).
This problem has apparently been fixed, and everything works for me now after the recent Debian upgrade to KDE3.5.5. Therefore I am closing this bug report. My Debian kgpg version number is now 3.5.5-1. Thanks! Best regards, Torquil M. Sørensen
