Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2006-06-12 10:22:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.3 Level "a" , unofficial build of SUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.13-4-default

Hi!
To reproduce!
Open a file in a remote directory in konqueror with sftp.
select Print -> Send PDF file.

it claims that the directory is not available

apparently kprint strips the sftp:// and assumes that the remote directory is on the local box.

This seems to happen only the first time an application wants to "Send a PDF by mail" AND only if the first time is using a document from a remote directory.

Otherwise kprint seems to remember the path of the last activity.

I don't understand, can you please clarify?

* what is "select Print -> Send PDF file" ?
* does it work when you try it the second time ?

sorry I forgot one important word "kword"

To reproduce!
Open a kword file in a remote directory in konqueror with sftp.
select Print -> Mail PDF file.

hope that helps

Right now I can't follow this up, Ferdinand.

First, I don't have an sftp account anywhere (I have 2 ssh accounts where sftp is disabled). Second, I've no KWord file :-)

Last, it will take a few more days until I have a notebook of my own again to mess with.

KDEPrint is obsolete, unmaintained and will never be revived. Closing all open bugs.
