Usally when i right click in konsole a menu comes up and disappears when i click on one of the options or somewhere else , somehow its got locked into a window frame

I have no idea how this could happen... reopen if you can find a way to reproduce.

By simply clicking on the dotted line under close session

I have no idea... maybe if you could make a little movie that shows it happen.  On my system, I don't have the dotted line at the bottom of the menu... you might try changing your KDE theme to Plastik and see if that matters.

i could make a clip if i knew what software to use, it might not appear on kde 3.5.3 release,  if you do not hear from me in a few weeks , consider the bug closed ,and not part of 3.5.3
