Description madman 2006-05-23 01:10:32 UTC
Version: 2.6 (using KDE 3.5.2, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.6 (Gentoo 3.4.6-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-gentoo-r7

The tray icon of kmix could provide a graphical feedback, showing current volume level (low, medium, high) - mute is already visible.

The look of such an icon could be similar to GNOME mixer idea, which is IMHO better than the static and nothing-saying blue tray icon. It could be something very simple graphically, similar to:

o [mute]
o) [low]
o)) [medium]
o))) [high]
