Description Michael Reiher 2006-05-22 21:23:38 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources

A little issue with the history plugin. It doesn't initialy appear in the contacts context menu, even though the plugin is enabled.

I deleted kopeterc and the kopete apps dir, before trying kopete, to ensure a clean start. The history plugin is obviously activated by default. However I first thought that Kopete has no history, as there was no context menu entry or anything for the history on contacts. Only when I found out about the plugin (it was already enabled) and checked "Show chat history in new chats", the context menu entry appeared. The entry stayed when unchecking that setting again, as it probably should.

Looks like Bug 104872 isn't really fixed?
Comment 2 Olivier Goffart 2006-06-13 11:56:31 UTC
It works for me (with kopete 0.12)

KDEHOME=/tmp/foo kopete --nofork

And the history was well activated.
Comment 3 Olivier Goffart 2006-06-20 14:40:30 UTC
I cannot reproduce
Comment 4 Michael Reiher 2006-06-20 15:11:12 UTC
Oops, sorry for not responding. I got a little confused obvioulsly, thought it got fixed, but didn't try it. I did an update two weeks ago, or something, but obviously didn't install it....Uhm, anyway, I just tried it and it works just fine now. I also tried again before install of the new build, and it did't work there. So something must have changed. But probably not your fix from 25.8.2005, my sources were certainly not that old... ;) Maybe a lib loading issue in kdelibs, or so. Anyway, it works now.
