Description richlv 2006-05-16 19:38:39 UTC
Version: svn revision 541449 (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Slackware Packages
OS: Linux

current tooltip isn't exactly the prettiest part of amarok. i've put here two supposedly separate things, but they seem related closely enough to me :)
if needed, i can move one of them to a separate report.

1. it would be nice if it utilized kicker's big, bubbling-up tooltip look.
tooltip could be made similar to osd (maybe even customizable and with different fontsizes for different information ?)

2. upon volume change on systray icon tooltip should not disappear, it should stay visible and volume should be displayed in it (maybe bigger than other information ?)

thus people who want only to see osd volume changes (there was such a request just now on irc) could disable osd at all and use systray tooltip.

it should be possible to keep/redraw tooltip on mousewheel, as kmix does just that. hopefully it will not be too resources intensive.
