Version:           0.9.0-svn (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS:                Linux

I have a large photo folder.  With digikam 0.7.2 I can set the Album Path to the top of this folder, and scan all items.  With newer versions, including digiKam: 0.9.0-svn, I have to select a sub-folder or digikam will hang on the splash screen at loading cameras.

ie:  with album path:
fysm:/home/MyPhotos$ ls -R | wc
  44175   52746  694051
versions newer than 0.7.2 hang at splash screen.

with album path:
fysm:/home/MyPhotos/2006$ ls -R  | wc
  13838   13738  208102
all versions work.

Is this a "feature" ??

Nevermind....I seem to have mis-spoke

It does work with 0.9.0-svn
