Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: SuSE RPMs I read the usability report "Chi Shang Cheng" wrote to the kde-usability ML about amaroK. I'll attach the PDF to this report. I think the first run wizard of amaroK should be improved, so I designed an alternative version. When designing, I read the usability report again and tried to correct usability-flaws described in the document. Please see the attached UI file for my proposal. There's a big label on page 3 that reads "PLACEHOLDER". The directory browser should go there, as it is in the wizard's current version. Please comment on the proposal. I'd be willing to help to integrate the wizard (or maybe another proposal?) in amaroK if the developers are interested in my help here.

As the PDF I mentioned is to big to be attached here, I'll provide the link Chi Shang Cheng mailed on kde-usability. See for the report at http://chishangcheng.googlepages.com/amaroKusabilityreport.pdf

The appearance step has been removed in SVN. See bug 134473.
the first-run wizard will be removed for Amarok 2. That's an improvement, right?
