Description markus 2006-05-03 20:00:44 UTC
Version: 1.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Debian Package 4:3.5.2-2+b1 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11

Maybe this issue is somehow related to
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106558

I state the following:
- I have multiple kmail identities
- I have multiple dIMAP servers
- In the kmail configuration -> Identities, Advanced settings, I have picked a specific sent-mail folder for my non-standard identity.

Now, whenever I send an email, the sent mail will be stored in the sent folder of my standard identity, but not into the sent-mail folder which I picked for the non-standard identity.

That's a bug! And it is reproducable!

Does this still happen? If not, can you close this bug as WORKSFORME

Chris,

which version of kmail do you have? I still have the same problem. I cannot
use different sent folders for different identities.

Chris,

> I'm using kontact 1.2.3 kmail 1.9.5

so do I. I tested it again, it does not work. I just controlled the according
setting in the advanced tab in the identity configuration. It is set to store
all the sent emails into the according folder (on imap), but it simply won't.

Do you store your sent mails for the secondary identity locally or on a remore
(imap) storage?

I have removed all other imap/dimap-accounts except one. Unfortunately this has not resolved the problem. In addition, I have added a new dimap-account and have explicitly set all folders to my new diamp-inbox. But again, this will be ignored. May be another problem is related, in addition for ignoring the sent-mail folder, kmail igonres as well the setting in my dimap-inbox 'keep replies in this folder'. The replies are also stored in local/inbox instead. Note, it is not the local sent-mail folder, instead it is the local/inbox.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
