Description basti 2006-04-26 16:45:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

I use filters frequently to categorize calendars or filter Todos by the task. For example for ToDos I use the following categories with the corresponding filters:
- Next Action
- Waiting for reply
- Someday
- Read/Review
- Projects
- Calls

Now if I create a new Todo item I would want that item to have the categories of the filter enabled by default so that it will be in the list determined by the filter. Currently if one forgets to set the categories the item just disappears. I can imagine that many people don't understand where their items went. The same is true for new appointments.

If this behavior is not possible my other suggestion would be to make it easier to choose categories. It takes too many clicks to set a category.(What about enabling the text edit where the list of categories is shown so powerusers can just type the categories?)
