Description Roger Foss 2006-04-24 19:39:50 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I'm using Kontact 1.2 in KDE 3.5.1 with Open-Xchange Server 5 (with SP1).
I've configured KDE to access Contacts, Calendar and Tasks in my OX server.

Sometimes the OX server isn't available, and Kontact will complain about it.
It throws multiple dialog boxes with error messages, along the lines of

 cannot communicate with server
 httpx://ox.mycompany.com/servlet/webdav.contacts?username=rfoss&password=actualpassword

I dont have a screenshot at the moment, put the point is the error message actually contains the webdav URL WITH the password in clear text.

The bug is that it should not automatically reveal the password as part of the URL.

Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created
korganizer-devel mailing list.
Comment 3 Dennis Schridde 2020-02-11 06:35:38 UTC
The resource is currently entirely broken for many users, see bug #353286. Could you please confirm that this issue still exists for you?
Comment 4 Christoph Cullmann 2024-08-11 18:08:33 UTC
Dear reporter, the resources handling got redone for KF5 and KF6 based PIM applications.

If you still encounter the issues you had in the past, please report them to the current maintained and updated PIM applications you use

Thanks a lot!
