We should have an animated set of icons... 3d icons that move... interacting with your mouse when you hover overthem... no more background that turns into an ugly square button... just icons... that can exist anywhere.... in deadspace... as a widget with text... (a clock) or perhaps a thumnail of firefox... the 3d firefox icon, and the text description (taskbar of the future)

This is exactly what plasma does.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I will be closing this bug.
