Description James Richard Tyrer 2006-04-19 17:21:33 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC-4.1.0
OS: Linux

Bug 116562 has been fixed in the 3.5 branch but this problem remains.

When Kicker is started, _child_ panels displace DeskTop icons. This is only for autohide child panels. The main panel (autohide) doesn't do it and an autohide external taskbar doesn't do it.

They only do it on startup of Kicker. After startup, it works correctly: when the autohide child panels unhide, they have no effect on the DeskTop icons.

KDE after restart

After a simple restart of KDE. Note the moved icons.

I have that behavior also when the child panels are NOT set to autohide.

Kicker is currently unmaintained, you can look to your distribution for help, however.
