Version:           0.11.93 (0.12 Beta 2) (using KDE 3.5.2, Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.5 (Gentoo 3.4.5-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.16

Kopete in current versions (both 0.11 from KDE 3.5.2 and 0.12_beta2) crashes when trying to start Settings->Configure shortcuts. This doesn't happen always.

I will not be able to send a backtrace since I have no debug builds of software on my laptop

Do you have any idea what triggers this?  It did it once on my mac, but the stack backtrace didn't show up then.

can you try it with valgrind ?

I can't reproduce it here.

Does it happen with other kde application as well ?

I am unable to reproduce this.
I cannot fix that bug without more information
