Version: 1.5.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu0breezy1 breezy) Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.12-10-amd64-k8-smp When loading a file, especially a large one, the labels on associations in the class diagram jump to the edge of the screen. One can click the labels and they will jump back to near where they were supposed to be, but in some cases they don't end up in the right place or just get "lost". As a result, whenever Umbrello opens a diagram like this, it automatically modifies the file even if no other changes have been made. This means that Umbrello will ask to save when closing even if absolutely no changes have been made.
Yes, I noticed that too (but only after the release of 1.5.2) and made the new straight-line drawing mode user selectable, see comment #12 at bug 67223. So IMHO there's a wish hidden here - make the new straight- line mode obey the edge-distribution algorithm of AssociationWidget::calculateEndingPoints().
