Don't know how to include backtraces, sorry...
Comment 1 Olivier Goffart 2006-04-15 09:48:33 UTC
to include backtrace may sure you have compiled with --enable-debug=full

you may also try to run kopete in gdb or in valgrind.

Hope this helps:

That's not a backtrace. Please click the Backtrace tab in Dr Konqi when it appears.
Comment 4 Mariano Guezuraga 2006-04-18 05:51:44 UTC
Yes, I know is not a backtrace...The thing is that everything crashes, including kde session...So no Kr Konqi appears, i just take me to kdm to login again.
Anyway, it's strange that in the last 3 days, kopete didn't crash...
I can't figure how to run kopete in gdb and log the crash (eventually).
Thanks for your feedback....
Comment 5 Mariano Guezuraga 2006-04-20 05:21:40 UTC
Crash happens when exiting kopete without logging out first...
Would like to help more, but I don't know how
Comment 6 Thiago Macieira 2006-04-20 09:05:52 UTC
When it crashes now, do you get a Dr Konqi?
Comment 7 Mariano Guezuraga 2006-04-21 19:03:41 UTC
No Dr Konqi, Kde session crashes and I have to login again at kdm.
Comment 8 Matthias Granberry 2006-04-30 06:20:39 UTC
This isn't actually Kopete crashing, it's kwm or the X server crashing. It's somewhat troubling that Kopete crashes other things, but...
Comment 9 Olivier Goffart 2006-06-07 20:28:32 UTC
Try with the 0.12 release.
also, we need a backtrace in order to fix the bug
or being able to reproduce it
Comment 10 Mariano Guezuraga 2006-06-08 04:01:19 UTC
0.12 seems to solve the problem.
Thanks, good job!
