I would like KMail to be able to read RSS feeds. I want to create a new subfolder and choose among maildir and mbox also rss feed and enter its location. In this way it would be possible to read email and news in the same program which would simplify rss reading a lot.

Use Kontact, since it integrates KMail and Akregator.
