Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Hi Adept rocks, but I'm missing some things which shouldn't be too complex to develop (I think...) In synaptics I can configure filters for orphaned packages and configuration files left from package removal (i.e. not purged). This makes having your system clean very easy. Thanxs
Not too hard to implement, not too easy to make a sane GUI for. If you have ideas, let me know please. I will try to think of something as well.
I also wanted to suggest such a feature. And by the way, synaptic filter shows only orphaned libraries, however, 'deborphan -a' is also very nice thing. How can you represent it in GUI? Add next line to filters "Show:" and "with:", called, let's say "Other:" (like in synaptic) or "Extra:" and add two check boxes "Orphaned" and "Residual config". By the way, is it possible to select only all libraries using Debian tags? I cannot find an appropriate tag somehow ...
Pushing back to 3.2, based on arbitrary random decision... We'll see when 3.0 is out of the door what can be done and when.
Adept has been in the unmaintained state for a few years. Use muon[1] as replacement . [1] https://launchpad.net/muon
