Description Andrew Barr 2006-04-06 23:50:32 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: Whatever official Debian unstable packages use :-/
OS: Linux

Kontact (KOrganizer) segfaults if you have view filter rules that cause a ToDo item to disappear after being marked completed. For example, a recurring task with a start date is completed, the start date is then moved into the future. If your view rules say "hide inactive tasks" this means that ToDo now should not show. The "this item is hidden due to filter rules" box pops up and an instant later Kontact segfaults. Backtrace from KCrash follows:

Comment 1 Eduardo Habkost 2006-04-28 17:00:53 UTC
I am hitting consistently this bug here, also.

It seems that the Incidence is being queued twice on mItemsToDelete.
Comment 2 Andrew Ziem 2006-05-04 00:10:31 UTC
I am experiencing a crash with a similar description except that I do not use any filter. However, I am trying to mark a recurring task as finished.
Comment 3 Reinhold Kainhofer 2006-11-02 18:51:56 UTC
Reassigning all KOrganizer bug reports and wishes to the newly created
korganizer-devel mailing list.
Comment 4 Bruno Virlet 2007-08-02 12:21:28 UTC
Can you reproduce with the latest korganizer ?
Comment 5 Eduardo Habkost 2007-08-02 15:55:29 UTC
I plan to check the latest KOrganizer later. You mean the latest on KDE 3.5 branch, right?

Right now, I am using KOrganizer from Fedora Core 6, package kdepim-3.5.4-4.fc6, and the bug can reproduced here.
Comment 6 Christophe Marin 2008-06-26 19:09:12 UTC
*** Bug 158490 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 7 Sergio Martins 2009-02-22 08:41:26 UTC
Can't reproduce in KDE4.2, Eduardo, can you retest with a recent version of KDE?

Thanks
Comment 8 Eduardo Habkost 2009-02-25 19:50:23 UTC
I am not using kdepim from KDE 4 yet. I am running kdepim 3.5.10-2.fc9 from Fedora 9.

I couldn't reproduce it on 3.5.10 right now. But maybe I simply forgot what are the exact steps to reproduce it. If nobody else can reproduce it, I think the bug can be closed.
Comment 9 Nicolas L. 2010-01-05 17:05:02 UTC
closing then, please reopen if the crash appear back
