Version: 0.12 (SVN) (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Using the recent Kopete from SVN (0.12), I am not able to set the specific size of font for the top half of Chat Window (log of sent&received messages). I have the following font-related settings: resolution of screen: 96x96 dots per inch KDE system fonts are set to Tahoma, 8 Kopete => Appearance => Chat Windows => Base Font is set to Tahoma, 8 With this settings I obtain the following Chat Window: - top half has font _smaller_ than Tahoma,8 (I can see this comparing to font size of menu items) - bottom half (input area) has font = Tahoma, 8 If I set Kopete => Appearance => Chat Windows => Base Font to Tahoma, 9, I obtain the following: - both halves of Chat Window has the font Tahoma,8 So actually there is no way to set font for top half of Chat Window to Tahoma, 8. I remember that I had this behavior during a long period of time - it is really frustrating, because Tahoma, 7 looks too small and Tahoma, 9 looks too big. In attachment I provide the snapshot of screen - see the difference between top and bottom halves of Chat Window
Created attachment 15449 [details] ChatWindow snapshot Snapshot demonstrates the bug: font size in top half is definitely smaller than in bottom half (input area). Snapshot is done for ChatWindow base font set to Tahoma, 8
This bug persists for all Styles
certain elements of the styles don't follow the changing of the base fonts. changing the base font in the config will cause the elements of the style that follow the base font to use the new base font.
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
