Description Robert 2006-04-04 01:03:52 UTC
Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Arch Linux)
Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-ARCH

If I go to add a camera in the Camera menu, and I select USB, and enter the full path that the Konquerer file browser can open up all day long, and then click on the newly set up camera in the same menu, it says:

"Failed to connect to camera. Please make sure its connected properly and turned on. Would you like to try again?"

You need to specify the "Mounted" path used in your system, not directly the subfolders on this path. Camera uses a standard subforders hierarchy, and digiKam try to find it on the mounted path.

According to Gilles this is how Digikam works. I close this as a duplicate. It rather belongs to "wishlist" domain and is covered eg. by: Bug 131407

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 131407 ***
