That's what it's supposed to be. BTW, you can change the length and thickness by grabbing the line by its very edge.
Oh, ok. I was thinking of those sexy little yellow squares I see at http://uml.sourceforge.net/screenshots/activity-diagram-1.png. I figured that was what a fork was. Can someone please enlighten me? :)
Oh, I've discovered the error of my ways. Activity diagrams allow you to insert the Branch/Merge picture. I guess I should freshen up on the differences between state and activity diagrams.
