Version: 3.5.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages First, open 2 tabs in konqueror that show the same webpage or even 2 times your home directory. Now, switch between them and see the whole view being repainted, even the content of the tabs is identical!!
More investigation on the bug: it is related to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103613 but apart of the form controls, it's also the scroll and statusbars that flicker. Duplicate this tab and switch between them, it's easily visible. Also I noticed that when the 2 tabs show a filemanager view, really the entire content is repainted. In case of 2 websites in 2 tabs, it's "only" the status-, scrollbar and the form controls
Confirm this behaviour on KDE 3.5.5 / Kubuntu 6.10. Full window repainting causes flicker when switching between two identical tabs. Status, scrollbar & form controls flash when switching between two identical web pages.
