It should be possible to to either choose a format for the folder in the archive like app-version or use it as default, since it is better for package creators. Example is kblogger-0.5.tar.gz includes folder kblogger with all subdirectories but it should be kblogger-0.5.

when there's maintained packaging support in kdevelop4 please re-open.
