Please describe exactly what you did in kopete before the crash happened. Is it reproducible?
Comment 2 Vivek 2006-03-26 00:54:06 UTC
yes it is reproducible.

btw, I have used it before.. but had to upgrade and cleanup my
$HOME/.kde area recently.. I also might have a vague kwallet setup.

I start kopete. Shows me the first window for choosing the messanging
service.. i select yahoo.. (or MSN)

Click on Next

come to the 2nd message window.. (shows a message, prompting me to click finish)

At this point i can see kopete icon in the kicker.

when i click on the Finish button, i get the kde crash message.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need any further details. I
would like to help with kopete in anyway I can.

p.s. I use it in another locale, so not sure about what the exact
English text/button labels are.

FWIW, try with a newly-created user. Does the same crash happen? That'll tell you whether the crash is somehow related to existing config files

changing component to libkopete because Comment #2 implies that it's not a yahoo specific problem
Comment 5 Philip Rodrigues 2007-03-11 23:38:57 UTC
Do you still see this crash with 0.12?
Comment 6 Bram Schoenmakers 2007-05-12 13:17:33 UTC
Let's assume the bug has been fixed then, since no response on the 0.12 question.
