Version: 0.12 svn (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.0.2 20050808 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.0.1-4ubuntu9) OS: Linux Just switched from 0.11 svn to 0.12 and compiled Kopete 0.12 today morning (16.03.2006) I have set up several Aliases with the Alias Plugin in 0.11, also added a new one with 0.12 (some using "say", some "exec" for formatting links and so on) To give an example, I have an Alias called "wiki", which should format the words after it and put together a wikipedia link for my conversation-partner to click on. The Aliasses dont work if I start up kopete, if i type: /wiki something exactly this text is said to the person i am talking to. *** To make the Aliases work, I have simply to open the configure Plugins Dialog. I dont even have to change something, I can even press Cancel, but after this action all aliases work perfectly again. *** Afterwards, if i type in /wiki something it says "en.wikipedia.org/wiki/something" like it should. I think, the Alias Plugin isnt initialized or hooked in properly at startup. It worked flawlessy in 0.11 svn.
Confirmed that the Alias plugin isn't loaded on startup with 0.12.3 - no upgrade from 0.11 involved.
Default plugin loading was fixed in branch by r730464
I recently tested the alias plugin and it seems to be not initialised at startup. Distribution: Archlinux Qt: 3.3.8 KDE: 3.5.9 Kopete: 0.12.7
