Description William Kendrick 2006-03-04 09:37:28 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.5.1, Debian Package 4:3.5.1-2 (testing/unstable))
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.14-2-686

Since the "Collate" option does nothing when printing only 1 copy of a document, it might be more user-friendly to grey out the "Collate" checkbox when "Copies" is set to "1". (And only show one set of "1,2,3" page icons in the "Output Settings" section, rather than two.)

Additionally, it might make sense to label the checkboxes: "Collate Copies" and "Reverse Pages", to be more explicit.

Thanks!

Agreed (in principle).
Comment 2 William Kendrick 2010-01-03 19:59:14 UTC
Collate still available when "Copies" is set to "1", in KDE 4.3.2. ;)
Comment 3 William Kendrick 2020-07-26 16:43:42 UTC
Collate still an option when only printing 1 copy, as of:

* KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
* KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
* Qt Version: 5.12.8

Since Qt 5, there is no longer a KDE print dialog. KDE applications use the Qt print dialog.
