Description Claus Wilke 2006-03-03 21:44:21 UTC
Version: 3.5.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.1-0ubuntu0breezy1 )
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-10-386

When I right-click on the search bar in konqueror and go to "Text Completion", I get a choice of 6 different completion modes. However, regardless of which I choose, the behavior is always the same: As soon as I type a single letter, a word appears in the search bar, and it usually interferes with the actual word I want to type. The behavior is as described in bug 121979.

This is kubuntu specific. It is actually a feature called google suggest

If you still think it is a bug, then you should report it ubuntu launchpad bug site.
