Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages On Kubuntu 6.04 Dapper Drake Flight 4 CD, the Adept package manager does not start any more, although I sign in as root. It did work after I first installed Dapper. The Update manager works and I downloaded all updates. After updating my system, I notice that the icon in the taskbar has changed from the original triangle to a green ball. Before the above problem appeared, I would get notifications such as 'the application kicker is slowing down your system' or 'konqueror is slowing down your system' and other similar warnings to that effect. I don't think this is an adept bug. Please go to your distribution with this problem, unless it was resolved in the meantime.
